I tuned in the Eagle Cam around 6:40 a.m. to see what was going on with the two chicks, only to realize immediately that one had left the nest.
The adult female was in the nest with the remaining chick.
After Duke Farms’ Charles Barreca arrived at the cam controls just past 7 a.m., he started panning and zooming the cam until he located the AWOL chick on a much lower branch in the Sycamore. He also located the male (who is banded).
All four eagles accounted for.
